Republican Congressman Bob Dold Raises Money to Help Elect Donald Trump

Headlines GOP event to “Beat Hillary" 

NORTHBROOK, IL—While Republican Congressman Bob Dold still refuses to answer how he will vote in the upcoming presidential election, his actions send a clear message: Dold is working to defeat Hillary Clinton and pave the way for a Donald Trump presidency.

Dold recently headlined an event titled “Beat Hillary at the Distillery” to raise money for four pro-Trump Republican political organizations.

“Republican Bob Dold may tell his constituents he is not supporting Donald Trump, but behind closed doors, he is headlining fundraisers to defeat Hillary Clinton. Exactly who does he think that would elect?” said Schneider for Congress spokesman Steven Kirsch. “Time and time again, Congressman Dold says one thing to get the headlines but does the opposite once he gets credit. It’s no wonder he hasn’t strongly condemned Trump’s worst comments – he’s helping to elect him.”

Dold was joined at the fundraiser by two of his Trump-backing colleagues, Republican Reps. Randy Hultgren and Peter Roskam.
