Brad Schneider Responds to Bob Dold on Today’s Supreme Court Decision on The Affordable Care Act

Deerfield, IL – Today, Democrat Brad Schneider issued the following statement on Republican Congressman Bob Dold’s response to the Supreme Court’s decision in King v. Burwell.  

"While Bob Dold talks about bipartisan solutions, his record shows a long history of siding with all the other Republicans in Congress to repeal, defund, or dismantle Obamacare more than thirty times - including three times in the past few months.  Bob Dold and the Republicans have offered no plan that would address health care affordability and accessibility, and their opposition to Obamacare would take Americans backwards.  The ACA is not perfect, but it is an historic and critical step towards ensuring quality, affordable health care for every American.  Despite the unrelenting effort of Republicans, including Bob Dold, to undermine and misrepresent this law, the Supreme Court has yet again affirmed its legal status."
