Praises Schneider’s leadership on preserving and protecting Social Security and Medicare

NORTHBROOK, IL—Democrat Brad Schneider today is proud to announce the endorsement of the Alliance for Retired Americans in his campaign for Congress (IL-10).

“I am honored to accept the endorsement of the Alliance for Retired Americans, an organization that understands the importance of keeping the promises we have made to our seniors,” said Brad Schneider. “Social Security and Medicare are great American success stories that have helped millions live through retirement without the fear of poverty or crushing medical expenses. In Congress, I will work to strengthen the long-term health of Medicare and Social Security, and I will stand against any and all attempts to undermine these programs through risky privatization and voucher schemes.”

“Brad Schneider’s positions demonstrate a strong commitment to improve the quality of life for older Americans,” said Richard Fiesta, Executive Director of the Alliance for Retired Americans. “His leadership on issues such as preserving and protecting Social Security and Medicare from privatization and benefit cuts ensure these programs will be around for current and future generations.”

The Alliance for Retired Americans represents more than 4.3 million retirees, older Americans, and community activists including 232,263 members in Illinois.

This endorsement adds to a growing list of supporters for Brad Schneider, including the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare. The full list of endorsements is available on the campaign website.
