More than 75% of Support for Schneider’s Campaign are first time donors
NORTHBROOK – Democratic Congressional Nominee Brad Schneider (IL-10) will report more than $780,000 in contributions for the third quarter, setting a new record for 10th District Democrats.
Most impressively, more than 75 percent of contributions are first time donors, adding to Schneider’s momentum after winning key endorsements that previously went to Republican Mark Kirk, like the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois, the Sierra Club, the League of Conservation Voters, the Human Rights Campaign, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and the Joint Action Committee for Political Affairs Committee.
“We’re thrilled to see more and more people joining our campaign to break the right-wing gridlock, take on the Tea Party’s misguided agenda and stand up for marriage equality, a woman’s right to choose, protections for the Great Lakes, and affordable higher education,” said Schneider. “It’s clear that the voters are ready for a new, common-sense approach to get Congress working for them again.”
